  Wow! I was a first-time visitor March 5th, 2017. We sang popular praise & worship songs..... and sang the Sanctus and the Agnus Dei in Latin :) It is a perfect marriage of contemporary and traditional worship. This 52 y.o. really enjoyed it! Signing for the Deaf Community. And a Perpetual Adoration Chapel :) The church was filled at the 11 am Mass, filled with young people, 20's-40's, with their children. Filled! Come and enjoy the Catholic Mass Holy Redeemer offers :)

  While the church and congregation are very engaged I must honestly say that this Catholic Church is not traditional. The Mass and liturgy are modern. They are a loving group, but if you're looking for traditional / principled Catholicism you may want to look else where.
  
  Catholicism is on life support in America and the idea of "making the Mass more appealing to the modern world" isn't working. Parishes are closing, vocations are suffering and the sacraments are not visited enough.
  
  I once heard someone say that if you walk away from the mass talking about the priest then the priest didn't do his job. In a mysterious way he should almost disappear and lead us to Christ. That is what the mystery of the Mass was designed for. I think the same should be said for the music. Chants and hymns are great in bringing us into prayer. Drums and other modern instruments can make it tough to focus on prayer. I don't want to condemn the talent that the church has but please the Mass isn't about you. It's about the SACRIFICE!
  
  If we are re-experiencing the "un-bloody" sacrifice at Calvary, then we should probably be on our knees with our Blessed Mother in prayer.
  
  It isn't my goal to attack the church but the Mass is too unique. Why are there a dozen people distributing holy communion? Why are there "girl altar boys"? Why do we receive communion in the back of the church? Why do we encourage parishioners to attend protestant groups like "Alpha"? What's so wrong with being authentically Catholic? We must all be one body in Christ. It's what made us the universal church on Earth.
  
  I pray that Catholics return to the true faith. We're not going to convert protestants by being "more protestant". Protestantism at its core is heresy. Why would we strive to be more heretical?
  
  Be Catholic and make no apologies about it. It is Christ's Church, it has been infiltrated, we must protect it.
